AWS A5.9 /ASME SFA5.9 is the specification for welding consumables: Wire electrodes strip electrodes wires and rods for arc welding of stainless and heat-resisting steels. Grade ER307 is the MIG and TIG welding materials for Austenitic stainless wire 307 and it provides for a smooth spatter-free weld deposit that has high-temperature resistance up to 840°C. ER307 is a good choice for welding dissimilar metals like carbon steel armor plate, manganese steel plate and wear plates or other carbon and alloy steels to stainless that requires post welding heat treatments.
